I almost wondered if Aaron Brazell of Technosailor was going to miss posting on the upcoming changes to the 2.5 release of Wordpress, due out later this month, but he did in fact post about it.

I've got my thoughts on the whole thing on BloggingNotes, and I break it down to the things that I'll find most useful with the

One of the things that I require in a site that I'm going to subscribe to in my feed reader is that it offers a full feed only.

The other day I was reading about a site here on BZ that I thought sounded interesting, and when I checked it out, found that it had some good content. So I subscribed, and then found that it only

I never intended to take three weeks off from posting regularly, but that's exactly what happened. Burned out. From posting daily to a number of different blogs. So, I'm going to get back into the posting routine, and have settled on a schedule of three to four posts per week.

I'm still on a quest for the best blogging

Since launching BloggingNotes, one blog that I've constantly turned to for inspiration on how to generate a little extra income from my blogging has been Grizzly's How to Make Money Online for Beginners.

It's not the most frequently updated site, but the quality of what goes on there is far more important tha

If you use WordPress to power your blog, you'll be interested to know that an "urgent security release" was dropped for WP this morning - version 2.3.3.  There's an exploit available in the xmlrpc.php file that is being taken advantage of, so they've patched it and are recommending that all users upgrade.

Make no mistake - there definitely comes a time when parents and kids need a break from each other.  If you're in the Fleetwood section of Surrey, this weekend, this might be just what you're looking for.  The Fleetwood Community Centre is holding Parent's Night Out from 6 - 9pm, where you can drop the kids off

If you're looking for somewhere to go to get out of the cold we've been having in Vancouver lately, why not try the Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth park?  If you've got smaller kids, try going on a weekday when it's far less likely to be crowded with tour groups and such.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered both a new BloggingZoom graphic, and, in fact, a completely new design of the site this morning.

Court and Vic have done some excellent work getting the site back online after getting hacked last week, and it's nice to see that they're moving ahead with the site, not letti

It’s a bit of a weird discovery, although I have to admit that it’s not limited to just BloggingNotes.

It’s been six days since my last post, and in that time, my number of feed subscribers has risen from around 30 to 45 this morning. I’ve seen this on a couple of my other blogs as well, where a bit of a break seems to mak

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable Christmas, and even though it’s Boxing Day here in Canada, I’m back at work, which is fine by me, as my employer gave us the 24th off instead of today, and a four day holiday is something you should never turn down.

Which is why, except for the Christmas Day post, I also took a holiday from BloggingNot

No, I haven’t become disillusioned with the whole thing. I’ve been taking a little time off, though to try and refocus on things. I’ve developed a couple of new niche blogs, which I plan on devoting time to growing. If one of them hits big, I’m going to be very happy indeed, because I think it’s got a lot of potential.

Once a month I’m going do something to the blog to modify it or clean it up a bit - get rid of stuff that doesn’t fit the anymore, just basically de-clutter a little. And I’d encourage you to do the same thing.

This is something that I’ve wondered for the last little while, particularly while reading Court and Vic’s feeds. They both have some of the best blogging tips I’ve come across, but they mention having a number of different niche sites that they set up and run.
