t’s a well known fact that search engines place importance on links that point to your website from indexed pages of other sites. Google in particular places more importance in this than Yahoo! or MSN. Write a high quality article, place and submit it to a dozen of sites and… Tada! You just got linked back by a dozen sites which will significantly increase your rankings in search engines.

If your site is new, it may take a few months before your site gets indexed by search engines. However, if you get linked well, you can normally get indexed in less than a week, possibly even a day if you hit it right. I remember well when this blog was new, in just 5 days I found it at the top of Google search for the website name!
