Starting a Business? Lessons From a Rookie

I met with a young man about three weeks ago, who was wrestling with the idea of leaving his high paying retail job for a startup venture. It seemed as though the odds were stacked against him. Well, the truth is, they were. His support group wasn’t willing to "support" him on this decision. His cash reserves could only sustain him for a few months.
