I have been testing the ScratchBack widget in my sidebar (Are You In My TopSpots?). ScratchBack, currently in Beta, is a creation of marketer Jim Kukral. This review shows it from the perspective of the publisher as well as of the advertiser. You can either decide to use “auto-bump”, where each time someone adds a link, they get to the top of the list, and everyone else gets bumped down. The one on the bottom falls off the list. Or, you can specify a time period to keep the links, either 24 hours, 1 week, or 1 month.
