As an Ex-Fireman it really pisses me off to constantly hear news reporters emphasize the loss of "MULTI-MILLION Dollar" homes. As if the loss of a cheaper home is any less of a loss to a family that has nothing left to come home to. I understand that the loss of precious art, historical items, and great architecture; however most of the "Multi-Million Dollar" homes lost have no architectural value and the owners usually have ample time to grab priceless items. There are many exceptions, but let us mourn the loss of their significance not their dollar value. Most of these expensive homes are full of big screens not Picassos.
