Sam Raimi Brings Syndicated Fantasy Back to TV

Sam Raimi, writer/director of such mega-hits as Evil Dead and the Spider-Man movie series, is coming back to TV.  A former producer on Xena: Warrior Princess and Young Hercules, Raimi has now turned his attention to Terry Goodkind's classic novel series, The Sword of Truth.  Syndicated fantasy TV was all the rage in the 1990s, but has not been seen since.  Raimi has signed with ABC.  This is ABC's first outing in syndicated TV.
