The upcoming Punisher: War Zone movie might be one of the only Marvel movies that many people are not looking forward to. In fact the majority of moviegoers probably are barely even aware of its impending release (December 5th). This says a lot about the starte of this particular marvel movie franchise; Actually, this is roughly one of the last non self-produced marvel movies in the system (it is a Lionsgate release) and has been plagued by setbacks throughout its production.

The latest furor seems to be over what rating the movie will likely get: Lionsgate originally intended for it to receive an R rating but, rumour has it, after the success of the Dark Knight this Summer, the studio would prefer to release Punisher with a PG13 rating instead. That's quite achange in vision, in facvt it is such a severe change that the film's director supposedly refused to re-edit the project to get the new cleaner rating and was "released" from the project as a result.
