With all of the Spanish speaking cities and communities in the US, why travel abroad to learn Spanish? If you're going on vacation anyway it might be fun. But to seriously learn how to speak Spanish for business or professional reasons there should be immersion schools here in the major southern cities in the US.

It's possible to stay immersed in the Spanish language and culture even while in the US, especially in some of the southern cities along the border. From TV, radio, magazines, stores and restaurants you could go for days or weeks and not have to speak English at all.
