In an interview with MTV, Rachel McAdams indicated that she'd like to play Black Orchid in an adaptation of the Neil Gaiman/Dave McKean comic from the '80s. McAdams has auditioned for other superhero movies and not gotten the call, so this new approach - finding an exciting and interesting character and promoting herself for the lead - is a great idea.

Having read "Black Orchid" when it first appeared, I can say it's a remarkable and inventive comic - nothing unusual for Neil Gaiman - with some of the most stunning artwork I've ever seen. Rachel McAdams could do much worse in her quest to star in a tights and fights movie. And DC could do much, much worse than the beautiful and talented McAdams to star in an original comic book movie.
