When I started to distribute my freeware, I was not using 2 ways thus I waisted time and left money on the table. The first thing was using a blog and the second was not using more download sites. I know that many have free/paid themes or plugins in here and the lessons I learned will help you too. Most of you are aware of RSS feeds and it's a good press release tools to announce new versions. But I discovered that most shareware/freeware authors still don't have a blog. As for download sites, I was able to get more download per day by being on many minor sites than just the few big sites.
