Banking in the Philippines with US Dollars

This is the story of how I learned to bank in the Philippines. Moving from the US to the Philippines is an ordeal in itself. Imagine how difficult it is to make sure you have access to money earned in the US, while living in the Philippines.

Banking in the Philippines isn't difficult if you know where to go to open a US dollar account. Even so, the first choice is not always the best choice, as I've learned through experience.

My plans (in 2 months) include changing banks in the Philippines. Location is one reason and less fees is the other.
