Mel Ferrar may not be know by many today but in his day he was a very prominent actor, director and producer. In addition, he was married to Audrey Hepburn for a few years. He stared in films like Lili, War and Peace, and The Sun Also Rises. Mel Ferrer dies Monday at his ranch close to Santa Barbara. Mel Ferrer was the son of a Puerto Rican doctor and a socialite mother and was born in August 25th, 1917 in Elberon, NJ.
