trying to keep my children busy with one hand, while cleaning my
house with the other. They seemed to walk behind me, in my shadow,
undoing what ever it was I just finished. No wonder my house was
always a mess!
Well, they don't have the old saying
for nothing! “If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!†And
that is exactly what I did, only backwards.
If I can't get them to leave me alone
to clean, then let them join me. After all, the only reason they are
following me around is because they want my attention. Oddly enough,
my little plan worked beautifully. This morning my daughter
exclaimed, after I announced that it was time to clean the living
room, “I thought we did this yesterday!â€. As of this
mornings chores, she has started to pick up after herself. She
discovered quickly that she didn't like having to pick up the same
stuff everyday, and that she might as well just put away as she
played.
Want to put his into action at your

It's not hard, just requires a little
creativity...
