After a very long wait the FCC has finally given approval for the nation's only two satellite radio stations (XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio) to merge. What the future holds for satellite radio is up in the air. Now that the rival stations won't be fighting each other for their subscriber base, it is quite possible that the merged company will actually make a profit. I have owned Sirius Satellite Radio for years, and had enough faith in the new industry to actually buy a lifetime subscription. I hope things just get better from here.
