After reading more than my fair share of articles and comments about how certain link attributes shouldn't be used, I attempt to dispel the myth and provide some valid references.

Should you or shouldn't you use the target attribute? What is the "rel" attribute all about?

If you learn only one thing about links from this article, I'll consider it successful.
