Is Your Sidebar Detracting From Your Site?

While it's certainly true that nothing is more important than content for your blog, design has to play some part in the whole thing as well. And by design I don't mean cool graphics or anything like that, but rather how easy the site is to *use* and *navigate*. And how easy you make it for your readers to get the information that they need from your site. Including how to subscribe to your feed and to get to your other high quality posts.

And for that they'll probably check out the sidebar. And if you don't have it laid out effectively, a potential long term reader might disappear. If they can't find what they need, why should they stay, afterall?
