This is my personal ANTI-SEO rant. SEO is all the rage and rightfully so as I can see that Google alone responcible for almost a 40% of the traffic to my blog. Proper optimization of our blog posts is not just a "need" or "want" but a "MUST". And a the same time blogger should never rely on SEO alone. This post is a personal account of How Google Made me Look Stupid and perhaps will help you re-evaluate your own marketing efforts and avoid the downfall.

When you first get a ranking it's pretty unstable because Google has so many different data centers. You might be looking at one data center one day and a totally different one the next.
Usually after a few weeks your ranking will stabilize pretty well and you'll have a better idea of where you sit.
Yeah ... all true :) But simply funny how it worked out ... right when I tried to use my ranking as base for promotion of what I really believe provides value to my customers - boom! my page is gone from search results :D
Plus I like to make fun of my own mistakes ...
